We’ve got an exciting update to share…
Yesterday, the Council published a report recommending the Leith Links Activity Hub as one of the projects to receive Visitor Levy funding.

Here’s the description from the report:
“It is recommended that Leith Links receives a £4m capital contribution to develop an Activity Hub, which is a community priority but will also encourage more visitors with a destination skatepark, climbing wall and new café/community space. Additionally, there would be a focus on delivering the park masterplan with upgraded paths, street furniture and an improved entrance.”
This recommendation will now be considered through the Council’s formal committee and budget processes over the coming weeks:
• Wed 11th Feb: Culture & Communities Committee will consider the proposal
• Thu 12th Feb: Special Full Council meeting on the Visitor Levy
• Thu 26th Feb: Visitor Levy budget confirmed as part of the Council’s budget setting process
This isn’t a final decision yet, and work wouldn’t start immediately – but being recommended for Visitor Levy funding is a big milestone for the project.
We’ll share updates after the committee meeting on the 11th of February.
