The designs – Part II

Earlier this year, the Thriving Greenspaces team shared detailed designs for the skatepark, roller rink and pump track at the centre of the Leith Links Activity Hub.

They’ve now released the wider landscape designs, published as part of a RIBA Stage 2 Report developed by landscape architects AtkinsRéalis.

This is an important milestone for the project, marking the completion of the design phase for the activity hub concept (excluding the pavilion building).

The report enables the team to begin exploring funding opportunities and means they’re prepared for future planning permission.

Just as importantly, it gives the community the clearest vision yet of how the long-derelict bowling greens could be transformed into a new, inclusive landmark for Leith – shaped by years of consultation, workshops and co-design with local people, community groups and organisations.
