Yesterday we visited Room to Move on West Bowling St.
We were there to meet Nina, the manager of @accessparkour, to learn more about the Edinburgh parkour scene and to chat about what sort of parkour facilities we should be advocating for in the Leith Links Activity Hub.
Nina also told us all about the campaign that Access Parkour and @thinkcircus (both Leith-based organisations), have launched to convert Leith St Andrews church at the bottom of Easter Rd, which has been earmarked for sale by The Church of Scotland by the end of 2024, into a new activity centre focusing on physical and mental wellbeing.
The plans sound brilliant and they’re currently on the lookout for new members and volunteers.
