Last week we attended a workshop ran by the Thriving Greenspaces team in collaboration with landscape architects Atkins and skatepark design company Betongpark to contribute our ideas and opinions to the next phase of design work for the activity hub.
This phase will see Betongpark develop a detailed design for the skatepark, pump track and rollerskating facilities – taking into account feedback gathered in the recent activity hub consultation along with the discussion and outputs of the exercises we took part in during the workshop.
The workshop was attended by a broad range of representatives from the local skateboarding, BMX and rollerskating communities who all had the opportunity to share their ambitions for the space and to go into detail on specific features they’d like to be considered.
Our team will be supporting the design process over the coming weeks and will share progress whenever possible.
