The activity park team with the ‘Everyman statue’ outside Waverley Court (we’ll keep his nickname to ourselves).

We were there to meet the Thriving Greenspaces team, part of the Council’s Parks Service, to discuss plans for the future of the bowling green area on the Links.
Our next step is to support them over the coming months as they develop a plan specifically for an activity hub in the bowling green area, including a skate park and upgrade of the pavilion building.
This plan will be informed by the results of the Leith Links Masterplan consultation which took place last Summer (2022) and will be developed together with an Architect and Landscape Architect.
This plan will also be consulted on and ultimately be presented to the council’s planning committee; a process we’re optimistic will happen next year.🤞
This is an important step and one that wouldn’t have happened without the help of Parks Programme Manager, Lindsay Grant.
Over the past couple of years he’s co-ordinated the Leith Links masterplan working group and been our point of contact at the council.
Huge thanks to him.👏
We’ll be joining the Thriving Greenspaces team on their stall at the @leithfestival gala on Saturday.☀️
Come and say hello if you’re heading along.
