Over the Summer, the City of Edinburgh Council ran a public consultation on the ‘Leith Links Masterplan’ – proposals for a 10-year vision for the park. Two members of our team were part of the working group that developed the concepts, which included lots of the active features we’re campaigning for. 🛹🛴🛼🧗🏓🤸
The results of the consultation have now been published on the council’s webpage and the response was overwhelmingly positive with 90% supportive of the proposals. 👍👌🤟
In particular, the skatepark / wheeled sports area received a high amount of support, accounting for over 200 of the 540 comments left by respondents. 🗨️
The next steps in the process are for the masterplan to be signed-off by the working group and presented to the Culture & Communities Committee for approval. If approved, the plan will then form the basis of an improvement plan for Leith Links over the next decade. 🤞
