Over the past 6 months, two members of our team, along with representatives from other local organisations, Leith Links Community Council and Leith councillors, have been involved in The City of Edinburgh Council’s ‘Thriving Greenspaces Project’, to develop a 10yr concept masterplan for Leith Links.
The masterplan includes lots of interesting developments, but, most importantly (from our perspective), it includes an activity park on the old bowling greens, along other active features such as a ‘trim trail’, 3km fitness loop and a ‘natural play area’ at the east of the Links.
The masterplan is intended to create a vision of what could happen in the future, but is dependent on funding, resource and – most importantly – local support, for it to be realised.

A consultation is live until the 22nd of July to get feedback from the community on the design.
